Dubliner Joshua joins us from award winning Canadian barbershop Glassbox. Under the tutelage of Peter Gosling he has become a prolific barber. An expert in traditional barbering but with a flair for trend driven cuts, Josh has impeccable customer service and will endeavour to leave you with the trim you desire.

When and where did you first realise you wanted to be a barber/men’s hairdresser?

“I first realised I wanted to be a mens hairstylist when I was 15. I was alway unsatisfied with the haircuts I was getting and thought there must be a way to give men the haircut they want and deserve.

After I finished school I worked in a barbershop in Ireland then moved to Canada to study male image and grooming in Toronto’s number one barbershop for 8 years in a row and still to this date. After 4 years of intensive training and studying SASOON and UK style curriculum of combining traditional and modern style hairdressing techniques that’s when I began educating around Canada and the USA”. 

What's the best thing to have happened to you doing this job?

“Being able to travel North America teaching educational classes to other barbers and salons. Also demonstrating unique techniques to create modern mens hairstyles on the main stage at Canada’s biggest hair show the ABA”.

If you could invite 5 people to a dinner party dead or alive who would it be and why?

EMINEM, John Mayer, Deadmau5, Michael Jackson & Kurt Cobain 

I play guitar, write songs and produce music and all above are true creative geniuses in different genres to me personally and inspire the music I create.
